How we use card data
Last updated 8 August 2026
We never see your card number
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered on Stripe's own checkout and are never sent to, processed by, or stored on Coachew's servers.
What we do store
Stripe gives us a card fingerprint — a short scrambled code that stays the same for the same card, but cannot be turned back into a card number. We store it, along with your workspace and the related Stripe reference ids, when one of two things happens:
- · you start the 14-day free trial, or
- · we refund you under the 30-day money-back guarantee, which covers prepaid terms only — 3-monthly or yearly, not month-to-month. Full terms: terms of service.
Why
So that each is available once per card. Without it, the same card could open unlimited workspaces on free trials, or claim the guarantee again and again — and the cost of that lands on the coaches who pay normally. It is used for nothing else: not marketing, not profiling, and it is never shared with other coaches or sold.
If you are declined a trial because the card has already used one and you think that is wrong — a card shared with a partner, or a second workspace of your own — email support@coachew.com and we can lift it. Nothing is charged when a trial is declined.
How long we keep it
For as long as the rule needs to hold, which in practice means until your account is deleted. Deleting your workspace detaches the record from you: it stops being linked to your account and keeps only the scrambled code. You can ask us to remove it entirely by emailing the support address in the footer below.
